Presenting Reports from Committees

Mr. Shipley (Lambton—Kent—Middlesex), from the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food, presented the First Report of the Committee, "Canadian Agriculture and the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement". — Sessional Paper No. 8510-412-56.

Pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee requested that the government table a comprehensive response.

Pursuant to Standing Orders 68(2) and 69(1), on motion of Mr. Fletcher (Charleswood—St. James—Assiniboia), seconded by Ms. Perreault (Montcalm), Bill C-582, An Act to establish the Canadian Commission on Physician-Assisted Death, was introduced, read the first time, ordered to be printed and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.

Motions

Pursuant to Standing Order 56.1(1), Ms. Leitch (Minister of Labour), seconded by Mr. Lukiwski (Parliamentary Secretary to the Leader of the Government in the House of Commons), moved, — That the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs be instructed to consider the matter of accusations of the Official Opposition's improper use of House of Commons resources for partisan purposes; and

that the Leader of the Opposition be ordered to appear as a witness at a televised meeting of the Committee to be held no later than May 16, 2014.

Government Orders

The Order was read for the consideration at report stage of Bill C-5, An Act to amend the Canada-Newfoundland Atlantic Accord Implementation Act, the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Resources Accord Implementation Act and other Acts and to provide for certain other measures, as reported by the Standing Committee on Natural Resources with amendments.

Ms. Leitch (Minister of Labour) for Mr. Rickford (Minister of Natural Resources), seconded by Mr. Alexander (Minister of Citizenship and Immigration), moved, — That the Bill be concurred in at report stage.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to.

Accordingly, the Bill, as amended, was concurred in at report stage.
