Presenting Reports from Committees

Mr. Schiefke (Vaudreuil—Soulanges), from the Standing Committee on Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, presented the ninth report of the committee, "Addressing Labour Shortages in the Canadian Transportation Sector". — Sessional Paper No. 8510-441-205.

Pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee requested that the government table a comprehensive response.

A copy of the relevant Minutes of Proceedings (Meetings Nos. 32 to 37, 53 and 54) was tabled.


Mr. McKinnon (Coquitlam—Port Coquitlam), from the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security, presented the seventh report of the committee, "Up to the Task: Strengthening Canada’s Security Posture in Relation to Russia". — Sessional Paper No. 8510-441-206.

Pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee requested that the government table a comprehensive response.

A copy of the relevant Minutes of Proceedings (Meetings Nos. 17, 18, 21, 25, 27 to 29, 34, 37, 47, 48, 55 and 58) was tabled.


Mr. Lightbound (Louis-Hébert), from the Standing Committee on Industry and Technology, presented the ninth report of the committee (extension of time, pursuant to Standing Order 97.1, to consider Bill C-244, An Act to amend the Copyright Act (diagnosis, maintenance and repair)). — Sessional Paper No. 8510-441-207.

A copy of the relevant Minutes of Proceedings (Meeting No. 60) was tabled.

Pursuant to Standing Order 97.1(3), the motion to concur in the report was deemed moved, the question was deemed put and a recorded division was deemed requested and, pursuant to order made Thursday, June 23, 2022, the recorded division was deferred until Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at the expiry of the time provided for Oral Questions. The House resumed consideration of the motion of Mr. Champagne (Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry), seconded by Mrs. Fortier (President of the Treasury Board), — That Bill C-27, An Act to enact the Consumer Privacy Protection Act, the Personal Information and Data Protection Tribunal Act and the Artificial Intelligence and Data Act and to make consequential and related amendments to other Acts, be now read a second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Industry and Technology.
