On Thursday, June 16, 2022, the Standing Committee on Science and Research adopted the following motion:

That, pursuant to standing order 108(3)(i), the committee undertake a study of research and scientific publication in French, in Quebec, and in the rest of Canada, and that the committee dedicate a minimum of three meetings to this study, and report its findings to the House.
