On Thursday, September 22, 2022, the Standing Committee on Science and Research adopted the following motion:

That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(i), the committee undertake a study on how the Government of Canada can better support the commercialization of intellectual property; that the committee hold a minimum of four meetings on this study; and that the committee report its findings to the House.
