Messages from the Senate

A message was received from the Senate informing this House that the Senate had passed Bill S-15, An Act to amend the Act of incorporation of Queen's Theological College, to which the concurrence of the House is desired.

Pursuant to Standing Order 135(2), the Bill was deemed read the first time and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.

Government Orders

The Order was read for the consideration at report stage and second reading of Bill C-3, An Act to amend the Canada Elections Act and the Income Tax Act, as reported by the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs with amendments.

Mr. Saada (Leader of the Government in the House of Commons) , seconded by Mr. Coderre (President of the Queen's Privy Council for Canada) , moved, — That the Bill, as amended, be concurred in at report stage and read a second time.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to on division.

Accordingly, the Bill, as amended, was concurred in at report stage and read the second time and, by unanimous consent, ordered for a third reading later today.

Mr. Saada (Leader of the Government in the House of Commons) , seconded by Mr. Coderre (President of the Queen's Privy Council for Canada) , moved, — That the Bill be now read a third time and do pass.
