First Reading of Senate Public Bills

Pursuant to Standing Order 69(2), on motion of Mr. Day (Minister of Public Safety) for Mr. Flaherty (Minister of Finance), seconded by Mrs. Skelton (Minister of National Revenue and Minister of Western Economic Diversification), Bill S-5, An Act to implement conventions and protocols concluded between Canada and Finland, Mexico and Korea for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income, was read the first time and ordered for a second reading at the next sitting of the House.
