The Standing Committee on National Defence and Veterans Affairs met in a televised session at 4:01 p.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Vice-Chair, David Price, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Colleen Beaumier, Leon Benoit, Stan Dromisky, Cheryl Gallant, John O'Reilly, Janko Perić, Louis Plamondon, David Price, Carmen Provenzano, Peter Stoffer, Elsie Wayne, Bob Wood.
Other member present: Bill Casey.
In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Wolf Koerner and Michel Rossignol, Research Officers.
Witness: From the Atlantic Council of Canada: Colonel (Retired) Brian S. MacDonald, President.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed consideration of its study on the state of readiness of the Canadian Forces.
The witness made an opening statement and answered questions.
At 5:32 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
