The Standing Committee on National Defence and Veterans Affairs met in a televised session at 3:42 p.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, David Pratt, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Colleen Beaumier, Leon Benoit, Cheryl Gallant, David Pratt, David Price, Peter Stoffer, Elsie Wayne, Bob Wood.
In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Wolf Koerner; Michel Rossignol, Research Officers; Barry Hamilton, Consultant.
Witnesses: From the Department of National Defence: Lieutenant-General M.K. Jeffery, Chief of the Land Staff; Colonel William Peters, Director Land Strategic Planning; Lieutenant-Colonel Michael Kampman, Director Designate Land Strategic Planning.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee convened for a briefing session on the new army strategy “Advancing with Purpose: The Army Strategy”.
At 3:42 p.m., David Price took the Chair.
At 3:45 p.m., David Pratt took the Chair.
Lieutenant-General M.K. Jeffery made an opening statement and answered questions.
At 5:35 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
