Pursuant to the order of reference of Monday, May 16, 2022, the committee resumed its study of the Canada–People’s Republic of China relations.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "The Exposure Of Canadian Investment Funds to Human Rights Violations in the People’s Republic Of China".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be in Calibri 12-point font, left aligned, single-spaced, and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk of the committee, not later than 4 p.m. on Monday, November 27, 2023.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the committee invite officials from Global Affairs Canada, Department of National Defence, Public Safety Canada, Environment and Climate Change Canada, Natural Resources Canada, and Fisheries and Oceans Canada to appear in relation to its study on Canada’s Indo-Pacific Strategy, on Monday, November 27, 2023.

It was agreed, — That the analysts prepare a summary of the committee's recent trip to Washington, D.C. for the committee's consideration.

It was agreed, — That the Chair write to staff of the Embassy of Canada to the United States to thank them for their efforts in contributing to the success of the committee’s recent trip to Washington, D.C.

At 5:12 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
