Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(h)(vii) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, the Committee commenced its study of the privacy of Canadians at airports, borders and travelling in the United States.

Brenda McPhail, Micheal Vonn, by videoconference from Vancouver, British Columbia, Meghan McDermott, by videoconference from Vancouver, British Columbia, and Esha Bhandari, by videoconference from New York, New York, made statements.

At 3:56 p.m., by unanimous consent and pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit.

At 4:05 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:46 p.m., the sitting resumed.

The witnesses answered questions.

At 5:30 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:31 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Committee Business
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

At 5:36 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
