It was agreed, — That international human rights organizations be invited to the next meeting of the subcommittee in order to discuss emerging trends and global areas of concern; and that Members submit their witness lists to the clerk within 48 hours.
It was agreed, — That the World Food Programme be invited to appear for one hour.
It was agreed, — That one meeting be dedicated to the current situation of human rights in Iran.
It was agreed, — That the subcommittee submit a study budget to the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development for the purpose of conducting a study of Women Human Rights Defenders whose work merits recognition; and that the list of relevant witnesses be compiled in collaboration with Canada's missions and human rights organizations, at the request of the subcommittee.
It was agreed, — That the subcommittee consider studies on the human rights of journalists, migration and refugees, and Canada’s supply chain and the principle of due diligence, and that further information be forwarded to the clerk and analysts within 48 hours.
At 8:38 p.m., the subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
