The subcommittee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to subcommittee business.

On motion of Garnett Genuis, it was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $20,750, for the study of unlawful transfer of Ukrainian children to Russia, be adopted.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the subcommittee on October 17, 2023, the subcommittee commenced its study of the unlawful transfer of Ukrainian children to Russia.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the subcommittee on Monday, February 7, 2022, the subcommittee resumed its study of the current human rights situation in Iran.

On motion of Anita Vandenbeld, it was agreed, — That the subcommittee report to the House that it unanimously condemns the arrest of Nasrin Sotoudeh and calls for her immediate and unconditional release.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development.

At 1:04 p.m., the subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
