The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That, on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, the Committee continue the consideration of a draft report in relation to its study of the issues related to the enumeration of rights-holders under section 23 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

It was agreed, — That, on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, the Committee study the issues relating to French-language training in the field of nursing in Canada.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(f) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, the Committee resumed its study of the issues related to the enumeration of rights-holders under section 23 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 11:58 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:06 p.m., the sitting resumed in public.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(f) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, the Committee resumed its study of the full implementation of the Official Languages Act in the Canadian justice system.

Daniel Boivin, Mark C. Power and Marc-André Roy made statements and answered questions.

At 1:06 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
