The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $5,000. for the study of Bill C-77, An Act to amend the National Defence Act and to make related and consequential amendments to other Acts, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $8,100. for the study of Diversity within the Canadian Armed Forces be adopted.

It was agreed, — That amendments to Bill C-77, An Act to amend the National Defence Act and to make related and consequential amendments to other Acts, be submitted no later than Friday, November 23, 2018 at the end of the day.

At 11:32 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:13 p.m., the sitting resumed in public.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Monday, October 16, 2017, the Committee resumed its study of Canada and the Ukraine crisis.

John Herbst made a statement and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

At 1:04 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Questioning of the witnesses resumed.

At 1:19 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
