Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, March 23, 2017, the Committee commenced its study of Canada’s contributions to international peacekeeping.

Mark Gwozdecky and LGen Stephen J. Bowes made statements and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.

At 10:35 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:38 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Committee invite the Minister of National Defence to appear at the earliest opportunity on the Main Estimates 2018-19.

It was agreed, — That the Committee not travel to Petawawa, Ontario regarding its study of Canada’s Involvement in NATO.

At 10:41 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
