The Minister made a statement and answered questions.
Matt Jeneroux moved, — That the Committee invite the Minister of Indigenous Services to appear, no later than Friday, May 17, 2019, to update the Committee on the status of delivering infrastructure directly to Indigenous communities, including the doubling of the Gas Tax Fund, announced in Budget 2019.
Debate arose thereon.
It was agreed, — That the motion be amended by deleting the words “no later than Friday, May 17, 2019” and that the Chair be empowered to find a suitable date for the Minister’s appearance prior to the summer adjournment.

Robert Aubin moved, — That, given the significant amount of work accomplished by the Committee in advance of what will soon become the Canadian air passenger bill of rights, the Committee undertake a study consisting of no more than two meetings to give feedback to the Minister of Transport on the draft regulations that he is preparing to table concerning this bill of rights.

Ken Hardie moved, — That, given the importance of Canada’s trade corridors to the national economy and to add value to this Committee’s study of our major trade corridors, the Committee allocate up to two meetings to receive an update on the government’s National Trade Corridors Fund initiative.

It was agreed, — That each party submit their prioritized witness lists, including contact information, for the study of subject matter of clauses 225 to 279 (Part 4, Divisions 11 and 12) of Bill C-97, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on March 19, 2019 and other measures, to the Clerk of the Committee before end of day Monday, April 15, 2019.
It was agreed, — That the second hour on Thursday, May 9, 2019, be devoted to the study of temporary use in Canada, by Canadian citizens, of American-plated passenger vehicles.
It was agreed, — That each party submit their prioritized witness lists, including contact information, for the study of temporary use in Canada, by Canadians, of American-plated vehicles to the Clerk of the Committee before end of day Monday, April 15, 2019.
It was agreed, — That given the Committee’s new agenda, the witnesses scheduled for Tuesday, April 30, 2019, on the study of bus passenger safety, be cancelled and that the Clerk of the Committee request that they provide written submissions no later than Tuesday, April 30, 2019.
It was agreed, — That drafting instructions for a report on the study of bus passenger safety be scheduled for Thursday, May 2, 2019.
It was agreed, — That the Chair schedule a meeting of the Committee’s Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure to discuss the Committee’s agenda for the upcoming months.
