It was agreed, — That the First Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, which read as follows, be concurred in:

Your subcommittee met on Friday, February 4, 2022, to consider the business of the committee and agreed to make the following recommendations:

1. That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee undertake a study on service dogs for veterans, and that the evidence and documentation received by the committee during the Second Session of the 43rd Parliament on the subject be taken into consideration by the committee in the current session.
   
   
2. That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee undertake a study of Homelessness Among Veterans; that the evidence and documentation received by the committee during the first session of the 42nd Parliament on the subject be taken into consideration by the committee in the current session; that the committee adopt the report entitled Moving Towards Ending Homelessness Among Veterans, adopted during the first session of the 42nd Parliament; that, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request the government to table a comprehensive response to the report; that dissenting or supplementary opinions be in Calibri 12-point font, left aligned, single-spaced, and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk of the committee, not later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2022.
   
   
3. That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee undertake a study on uneven service delivery for anglophone and francophone veterans as well as for male and female and members of LGBTQ+ by the Department of Veterans Affairs; that the committee invite the Minister of Veterans Affairs, the Minister of National Defence and government officials to follow up on this issue; that the committee hold a minimum of three meetings to do so; and that the committee report its findings and recommendations to the House.
   
   
4. That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee undertake a study on the financial concerns of veterans who marry after the age of 60, whose spouses are not entitled to the automatic survivor pensions under the Canadian Forces Superannuation Act, and the impact of the Veterans Survivors Fund; that no fewer than four meetings be devoted to this study; and that the committee report its findings and recommendations to the House.
   
   
5. That the Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs invites Colonel (Ret’d) Nishika Jardine, the Veterans Ombudsman, for one meeting to provide the Committee with an update and recommendations on the issue of wait times and backlogs faced by disabled veterans in receiving the benefits to which they are entitled and deserve.

It was agreed, — That, given the shameful and disrespectful behaviour shown by protesters at the National War Memorial, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and the National Aboriginal Veterans Monument, the committee undertake an urgent study to review these actions and that witnesses be limited to the representatives of the Ottawa Police Service, of the Royal Canadian Legion, of the Assembly of First Nations Veterans Council, and government officials from Veterans Affairs Canada, the Canadian Armed Forces, and Public Services and Procurement Canada.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study on uneven service delivery for anglophone and francophone veterans, members send their suggested lists of witnesses to the clerk no later than Monday, February 14, 2022.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study on the financial concerns of veterans who marry after the age of 60, members send their suggested lists of witnesses to the clerk no later than Friday, February 18, 2022.
