The witness made a statement and answered questions.
At 7:33 p.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 7:40 p.m., the sitting resumed.
It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 1,225, for the study of Desecration of Monuments Honouring Veterans, be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 2,325, for the study of Fairness in the Services Offered to Veterans: Francophones and Anglophones, Men and Women, and the LGBTQ+ Community, be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $ 2,425, for the study of Survivor Pension Benefits (Marriage after 60), be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs unilaterally and unequivocally condemns the desecration of any War Memorial in Canada, including the National War Memorial, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the National Aboriginal Veterans Monument in Ottawa; and that the committee call upon law enforcement to continue their investigations of these incidents, and that the committee reports this motion to the House.
It was agreed, — That, in relation to its study of the Desecration of Monuments Honouring Veterans, the committee report its findings and recommendations to the House.
