Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, October 3, 2022, the committee resumed its study of the impact of the new rehabilitation contract awarded by the Department of Veterans Affairs on the role of the case manager and quality of service delivery.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "New Contract for the Administration of Veterans Affairs Canada's Rehabilitation Program".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analyst be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be in Calibri 12-point font, left aligned, single-spaced, and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk of the committee, not later than 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the committee resumes the fall session with two meetings on the report on national strategy for Veterans employment after service.

It was agreed, — That the Department of Veterans Affairs provides the committee with any results, findings, conclusions, and recommendations related to the Sex and Gender Based Analysis (SGBA) of disability benefits adjudication research conducted by Dr. Barbara Clow and the reports, completed while she was on contract with Veterans Affairs Canada:

  1. Description of Disability Adjudication at Veterans Affairs Canada – Friday, September 13, 2019;
  2. Findings from Key Informant Consultations – Tuesday, October 1, 2019;
  3. Analysis of Adjudication Instruments and Process – Friday, December 20, 2019;
  4. The Evolution of Adjudication Tools and Rules at Veterans Affairs Canada – Friday, December 20, 2019; and
  5. Sex and Gender-based Analysis of Disability Benefits Adjudication at Veterans Affairs Canada (Summary Report) - Tuesday, February 11, 2020."

At 8:12 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
