Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, February 8, 2024, and on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, the committee resumed its study of impact of border carbon adjustments and reciprocity of standards on Canadian agriculture.

Sylvain Charlebois, Tia Loftsgard and Aaron Cosbey made statements and answered questions.

At 4:48 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 4:54 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Jack Chaffe, Mark Walker, Pierre Petelle, and Émilie Bergeron made statements and, with Jennifer Babcock, answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $37,500, for the study of Impact of Border Carbon Adjustments and Reciprocity of Standards on Canadian Agriculture, be adopted.

At 5:56 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
