It was agreed, — That Richard Cannings take the Chair for the second hour of the meeting.
It was agreed, — That Yves Perron be able to use the speaking time usually allocated to his party during question rounds while presiding.
It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $21,950, for the study of railways: issues and opportunities for Canadian agriculture, be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $4,500, for the study of fertilizer tariffs, be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $1,000, for the briefing on the mandate and priorities of the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $39,500, for the study of protection of agricultural land in Canada, be adopted.
Casper Kaastra made a statement and, with Patrice Héroux and Marc Poisson, answered questions.
At 9:14 a.m., the meeting was suspended.
At 9:19 a.m., the meeting resumed.
