Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, February 8, 2024, the committee resumed its study of the plans to prevent violence during the 2024 elver fishing season.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft letter.

It was agreed, — That the draft letter, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

ORDERED, — That the Chair send the letter to the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard as soon as possible.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, the committee resumed its study of illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 4:50 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 4:56 p.m., the meeting resumed in public.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $500, for the study of the Main Estimates 2024-25, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $45,850, for the study of derelict and abandoned vessels, be adopted.

At 5:05 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 5:06 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, June 16, 2022, the committee resumed its study of population sustainability of Yukon salmon stocks.

The Minister made a statement and answered questions.

At 5:38 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 5:41 p.m., the meeting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analysts for a draft report.

At 5:54 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
