Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, September 16, 2024, the committee resumed its study of the impact of the reopening of the cod fishery in Newfoundland and Labrador and Quebec.

Dwan Street, Erin Carruthers, George Rose and Gerry Byrne made statements and answered questions.

At 5:11 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 5:12 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Joanne Thompson gave notice of the following motion:

That the Committee condemn the corrupt misuse of public funds for partisan purposes and that the committee refer the specific matter relating to Mr. Small and Mr. Kent to the Office of the Ethics Commissioner for a priority review.

At 6:13 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 6:16 p.m., the meeting resumed in camera.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, June 16, 2022, the committee resumed its study of population sustainability of Yukon salmon stocks.

At 6:17 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 6:17 p.m., the meeting resumed.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Challenges to the Sustainability of the Yukon Salmon Stocks".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be in Calibri 12-point font, left aligned, single-spaced, and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk of the committee, not later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

At 6:31 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
