The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, —

That, in relation to its study of the international embarrassment which followed the attendance and recognition of a former soldier of a Nazi military unit at the President of Ukraine’s 2023 address to Parliament, the committee:

(a) add the following individuals to the witness list:

(i) Anthony Rota, by himself, for one hour;

(ii) the Honourable Steve MacKinnon, the Minister of State (House of Commons), by himself, for one hour; and

(b) prioritize scheduling the appearances of Anthony Rota, Steve MacKinnon, and International and Interparliamentary Affairs officials.

Pursuant to the order of reference of Wednesday, May 10, 2023, the committee resumed consideration of the question of privilege related to the intimidation campaign against the member for Wellington—Halton Hills and other members.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 1:04 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
