Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(a)(ix) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, the committee resumed its review of the Members of the House of Commons Workplace Harassment and Violence Prevention Policy.

Chi Nguyen, Madeline Nwokeji and Harmy Mendoza made statements and answered questions.

At 12:15 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 12:23 p.m., the meeting resumed in camera.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, September 19, 2024, the committee resumed its study of Inuktut on federal election ballots in the electoral district of Nunavut.

The committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

In relation to the review of the Members of the House of Commons Workplace Harassment and Violence Prevention Policy, the committee instructed the analysts to prepare a draft report for the committee's consideration.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $1,500.00, for the study of Bill C-377, An Act to amend the Parliament of Canada Act (need to know), be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $35,250.00, for the study of Bill C-65, An Act to amend the Canada Elections Act, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the committee begin its study of Bill C-65, An Act to amend the Canada Elections Act, on Thursday, October 31, 2024; and that the deadline to submit preliminary lists of witnesses be on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 2 p.m.

At 1:11 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
