Brian Bowman, by videoconference from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Kim Longstreet by videoconference from Brandon, Manitoba, Steve Barlow and David Juurlink made statements and, with John Lane, Collin Harris and Danny Smyth, answered questions.
Don Davies moved, — That the Committee resume consideration of his motion moved on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, which read as follows:
That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee invite the Minister of Health to provide a briefing, at the earliest opportunity, on the forced sterilization of Indigenous women in Canada.
The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to, by a show of hands: YEAS: 8; NAYS: 0.
The debate continued.
Doug Eyolfson moved, — That the motion be amended by replacing the words “the Minister of Health” with the word "Health Canada officials”.
After debate, the question was put on the amendment of Doug Eyolfson and it was agreed to.

That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee invite Health Canada officials to provide a briefing, at the earliest opportunity, on the forced sterilization of women in Canada.
