At 4:42 p.m., the meeting was suspended.
At 4:51 p.m., the meeting resumed in public.
Witness 1, Tina Swithin, Lisa Heslop made statements and, with Jean Mercer, answered questions.
At 6:07 p.m., the meeting was suspended.
At 6:16 p.m., the meeting resumed in camera.
The committee proceeded to give drafting instructions to the analysts for a draft report.
It was agreed, — that the committee hold an additional meeting on the study of breast cancer screening for women aged 40 to hear from the Chair of the Canadian Task Force on Preventative Health for the first hour, and experts on the impacts of this issue on diverse populations, including Black, Indigenous and gender diverse people, for the second hour, on Monday, November 18, 2024; and that witness lists be submitted to the clerk no later than Friday, October 25, 2024.
It was agreed, — that the deadline for the public to submit written submissions on the study of breast cancer screening for women aged 40 be extended to Friday, October 25, 2024.
At 6:44 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
