Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, the committee commenced its study of intimate partner and domestic violence in Canada.

Alia Butt made a statement and, with Annette Arsenault, Lisa Smylie, Claire Farid and Nathalie Levman, answered questions.

At 1:56 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 1:58 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Chantal Marin-Comeau, Ian Kenney and Karen McKinnon made statements and answered questions.

At 3:01 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
