The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $15,000, for the study of Bill S-210, An Act to restrict young persons’ online access to sexually explicit material, be adopted.

At 4:03 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:59 p.m., the sitting resumed.

It was agreed, — That the draft report on the study of rights of victims of crime, reclassification and transfer of Federal Offenders, be distributed immediately to committee members; that the analysts prepare a draft report on the study of the growing problem of car thefts in Canada and distribute it; and that the study of Bill C-70, An Act respecting countering foreign interference, be initiated on Thursday, May 30, 2024.
