Evelyn Fox and Richard Miller made statements and answered questions.
Alistair MacGregor moved, — That the committee invite the Minister of Public Safety and department officials from both the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and Canada Border Services Agency to appear as soon as possible before the committee to answer questions regarding the occupation of Ottawa and the federal government’s response to convoy blockades disrupting our borders, notably in Windsor, Ontario; Emerson, Manitoba; and Coutts, Alberta.
Debate arose thereon.
Pam Damoff moved, — That the motion be amended by adding the word “following the revocation or expiry of the emergencies act” after the words “as soon as possible”.
After debate, the question was put on the amendment of Pam Damoff and it was negatived on the following recorded division:

NAYS: Dane Lloyd, Alistair MacGregor, Eric Melillo, Kristina Michaud, Doug Shipley, Tako Van Popta — 6.
Dane Lloyd moved, — That the motion be amended by adding the words “and the Ontario Provincial Police” after the words “Canada Border Services Agency”.

The motion, as amended, read as follows:
