Andréanne Larouche moved, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee immediately undertake a study on sport and the status of women, including the physical and emotional health and safety of women and girls in sport; that the committee allocate four (4) meetings to hear testimonies and that it invite to testify Ms. Pascale St-Onge, Minister of Sport for one hour, and other witnesses that the committee deems appropriate to invite; and that the committee report its observations and recommendations to the House.
Debate arose thereon.
Jenna Sudds moved, — That the motion be amended by replacing the words “immediately undertake” with the words “undertake, following the completion of witnesses on the study of mental health of young women and girls”.
After debate, the question was put on the amendment of Jenna Sudds and it was agreed to.
The motion, as amended, read as follows:
That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee undertake, following the completion of witnesses on the study of mental health of young women and girls, a study on sport and the status of women, including the physical and emotional health and safety of women and girls in sport; that the committee allocate four (4) meetings to hear testimonies and that it invite to testify Ms. Pascale St-Onge, Minister of Sport for one hour, and other witnesses that the committee deems appropriate to invite; that the committee report its observations and recommendations to the House.

Anita Vandenbeld moved, — That, in relation to the study of women and girls in sport, the committee provide adequate mental health supports to the witnesses, and that the clerk be authorized to make the necessary arrangements.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of women and girls in sport, members submit their witness lists to the committee clerk by Friday November 4, 2022.
