Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4), the committee commenced consideration of the Main Estimates 2023-24: Vote 1 under Communications Security Establishment, Votes 1, 5, 10 and 15 under Department of National Defence, Vote 1 under Military Grievances External Review Committee, Vote 1 under Military Police Complaints Commission, Vote 1 under Office of the Intelligence Commissioner, referred to the committee on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.

The Chair called Vote 1 under Communications Security Establishment.

The Minister made a statement and, with Gen Wayne D. Eyre and Bill Matthews, answered questions.

At 4:53 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:55 p.m., the sitting resumed in public.

The Chair called Votes 1, 5, 10, and 15 under Department of National Defence, vote 1 under the Communications Security Establishment, vote 1 under the Military Grievances External Review Committee, vote 1 under the Military Police Complaints Commission, and vote 1 under the Office of the Intelligence Commissioner.
