Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, November 2, 2023, the committee resumed its study of transparency within the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Armed Forces.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 6:16 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 6:22 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), and the motion adopted by the committee on January 31, 2022, the committee resumed its study of threat analysis affecting Canada and the Canadian Armed Forces’ operational readiness to meet those threats.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "On the Frontlines of Democracy: Canada and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Responding to Russia’s Aggression in Europe".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of Canadian Armed Forces’ role in space defence, the proposed budget in the amount of $125,936.44, for the committee’s travel to the United States in Spring 2024, be adopted.

At 6:37 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
