Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, the committee resumed its study of the Competition Act and air travel in northern, rural, and remote communities of Canada.

Serge Bijimine made a statement and, with Andy Cook, answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

Motion

Churence Rogers moved, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee undertake a study examining the value of Regional Development Agencies in Canada and their impact to the quality of life in Canadian cities and communities; that the committee invite witnesses with specific knowledge of the work of the Regional Development Agencies; that the committee allocate a minimum of seven meetings to this study; that the committee report its findings to the House; and that, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the government table a comprehensive response.

Motion

Xavier Barsalou-Duval moved, — That the debate be now adjourned.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to on the following recorded division:
