Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, November 7, 2024, the committee commenced its study of community safety and emergency preparedness: transport of dangerous goods by rail.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

Motion

Taylor Bachrach moved, — That the Department of Transport provide the committee by Wednesday, January 15, 2025, with the emergency response assistance plans (ERAPs) and key route risk assessments applicable to the following routes: Prince George-Prince Rupert, Fraser Canyon, Montreal-Sorel, Toronto-Windsor corridor.

At 5:52 p.m., pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the committee continue to sit.

At 5:56 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 6:02 p.m., the meeting resumed.

At 6:02 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
