Yonah Freemark, Ryan Katz-Rosene and Karl Blackburn made statements and, with Norma Kozhaya, answered questions.
Annie Koutrakis moved, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee undertake a study examining the role of the transportation sector in the support and growth of the tourism industry in Canada, examining the challenges and opportunities that the transportation sector presents to tourism; that the committee invite witnesses with specific knowledge about the transportation sectors and the tourism sectors across the country; that the committee allocate a minimum of five meetings to this study; that the committee report its findings and actionable recommendations to the House; and that, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the government table a comprehensive response.
Dan Muys moved, — That the motion be amended by adding after the words “across the country” the words “, including the Minister of Transport and the Minister of Tourism”, and by replacing the words “a minimum of” with the words “up to”.
By unanimous consent, after debate, the question was put on the motion, as amended, and it was agreed to.
The motion, as amended, read as follows:
That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee undertake a study examining the role of the transportation sector in the support and growth of the tourism industry in Canada, examining the challenges and opportunities that the transportation sector presents to tourism; that the committee invite witnesses with specific knowledge about the transportation sectors and the tourism sectors across the country, including the Minister of Transport and the Minister of Tourism; that the committee allocate up to five meetings to this study; that the committee report its findings and actionable recommendations to the House; and that, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the government table a comprehensive response.

It was agreed, — That the committee adopt the calendar.
It was agreed, — The committee submit a request for financing for committee travel on a select number of cities to be visited that are prioritized by committee members or have been stated as priorities by committee members, that you, the clerk will then put into a more comprehensive submission.
