The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed supplementary budget in the amount of $1,500, for the study of Canada's approach to Africa, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $1,000, for the briefing on the current situation in Lebanon, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $3,000, for the study of Bill C-353, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the committee defray the hospitality expenses related to the informal meeting with the Speaker of the Parliament of Finland and an accompanying delegation on Thursday, October 31, 2024.

It was agreed, — That the committee meet, in an informal meeting, with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and an accompanying delegation on Monday, November 4, 2024, and that the committee defray the hospitality expenses related to this meeting.

It was agreed, — That all proposed amendments to Bill C-353 be submitted to the clerk no later than Thursday, November 21, 2024.

It was agreed, — That the work plan for the study of Canada’s advancement of a two-state solution, be adopted, as amended.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of Canada’s advancement of a two-state solution, a call for briefs of a maximum of 2,000 words be issued and that the deadline for the receipt of these briefs be no later than Tuesday, November 19, 2024.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, January 29, 2024, the committee resumed its study of Canada’s approach to Africa.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 12:58 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
