The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.
It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.
It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "The 2022 extreme flooding in Pakistan: Saving lives and supporting a climate-resilient recovery".
It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.
It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be in Calibri 12-point font, left aligned, single-spaced, and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk of the committee, not later than 5:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, February 7, 2023.
ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.
It was agreed, — That the Second Report from the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, which read as follows, be concurred in:
1. That, in relation to the consideration of the Main Estimates 2023-24, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of International Development and Minister responsible for the Pacific Economic Development Agency of Canada be invited to appear at their earliest opportunity.
2. That a briefing of two hours on the current situation in Peru be scheduled at the earliest opportunity, with officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development and the Ambassador of Peru to Canada.
3. That, as adopted by the committee on Monday, January 31, 2022, a briefing of one hour with the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Canada to the United Nations in New York be organized at the earliest opportunity.
4. That, in relation to the consideration of Bill C-281, An Act to amend the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Act, the Justice for Victims of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act (Sergei Magnitsky Law), the Broadcasting Act and the Prohibiting Cluster Munitions Act, the sponsor Philip Lawrence and ministers and officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development and the Department of Canadian Heritage be invited to appear at the earliest opportunity.
5. That, in relation to the travel of the committee scheduled in the winter 2023, the Chair be instructed to submit a new proposal to the Subcommittee on Committee Budgets of the Liaison Committee in order to modify the itinerary and request for a supplementary budget.
