Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, the committee resumed its study of inflation in the current Canadian economy.

At 11:06 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:07 a.m., the sitting resumed.

Michael Gregory, Jimmy Jean and Stéfane Marion made statements and, Michael Gregory and Jimmy Jean, answered questions.

On motion of Sophie Chatel, it was agreed, — That the questions posed to the witnesses in today’s meeting be sent to Stéfane Marion from National Bank for him to answer in a written form.

On motion of Ed Fast, it was agreed, — That Stéfane Marion be reinvited to appear in person at a later meeting.

It was agreed, — That the clerk emphasize the preference of the committee, with any further witnesses on any study, that all witnesses appear in person as much as possible.

At 1:05 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
