The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

On motion of Gabriel Ste-Marie, it was agreed, — That Department of Finance's economic impact study on the implementation of the Select Luxury Items Tax Act, pursuant to the motion adopted in committee on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, be posted publicly on the website of the committee.

Adam Chambers gave notice of the following motion:

That the committee call on the government to extend the tax filing deadlines for the 2022 tax year to 25 business days after labour dispute is resolved between PSAC and the Treasury Board Secretariat.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, the committee resumed its study of current state of play on green finance, green investment, transition finance and transparency, standards and taxonomy.

Peter Routledge made a statement and, with Stephane Tardif, answered questions.

At 12:03 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:07 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Christine Bergeron made a statement and answered questions.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

Motion

Terry Beech moved, — That, should a Budget Implementation Act be tabled in the House, the committee commence a pre-study of said legislation, and that the committee invite officials to provide briefings on the contents of the bill as well as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance.

Debate arose thereon.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to on the following recorded division:
