Pursuant to the order of reference of Wednesday, June 5, 2024, the committee resumed consideration of Bill C-61, An Act respecting water, source water, drinking water, wastewater and related infrastructure on First Nation lands.

Cindy Woodhouse Nepinak, Betsy Kennedy, Kelsey Jacko and Trevor John made statements and, with Christopher Rapson and Irving Leblanc, answered questions.

At 9:42 a.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 9:49 a.m., the meeting resumed.

The Minister made a statement and, with Nelson Barbosa, answered questions.

On motion of Lori Idlout, it was agreed, — That the committee direct the analysts to prepare a summary document of correspondence and briefs submitted, including recommended amendments and a summary of issues, related to Bill C-61, First Nations Clean Water Act.

At 10:41 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
