It was agreed, — That the committee consider the draft of the administration and accessibility of Indigenous peoples to the Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) program report on Thursday, November 24, 2022.
It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee undertake a study on the restitution of land to First Nations, Inuit, and Metis communities in Canada; that the committee’s study take account of, but not be limited to, examination of access to and transfer of Crown land across Canada, Indigenous rights related to those lands, comprehensive land claim completion, and compensation. The study should examine the impacts of historical and continued dispossession of First Nations, Inuit, and Metis from land, including the impact on economic development and resource extraction.
The study should also examine economic growth opportunities possible within Canada in relation to restitution of lands. All meetings for this study be televised or webcast; that the committee report its findings and recommendations to the House; and that, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.
It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee re-open the study on Arctic Sovereignty, Security and Emergency Preparedness of Indigenous Peoples for two meetings to consider Auditor General of Canada Report 8: Emergency Management in First Nations Communities – Indigenous Services Canada; that the committee invite the Auditor General of Canada to appear at the first meeting; and the Minister of Indigenous Services Canada and government officials to appear at the second.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee undertake a study on food security in northern and isolated communities and that the evidence and material gathered by the committee during the 2nd Session of the 43rd Parliament with respect to the study be considered by the committee during the current session;
That the committee adopt Report 10 entitled "Food Security in Northern and Isolated Communities: Ensuring Equitable Access to Adequate and Healthy Food for All", adopted during the 2nd Session of the 43rd Parliament on Tuesday, June 8, 2021;
That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.
ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House
It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee undertake a study with the objective of analyzing the relative success of the government, measured by results achieved and compared to the objectives set out in the Indigenous Languages Act (which received Royal Assent on June 21, 2019) which aims to assist Indigenous people in reclaiming, revitalizing, maintaining and strengthening Indigenous languages.
That the committee invites to appear, notably, the Minister of Canadian Heritage, the Commissioner of Indigenous Languages, experts, Indigenous leaders and government officials to monitor the progress of the implementation of the Act and, to this end, that the committee hold a minimum of four meetings; and that the committee report its findings and recommendations to the House, and pursuant the Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.
It was agreed, — That the committee invite the Parliamentary Budget Officer, the Minister of Indigenous Services Canada and the Minister for Crown Indigenous Relations to appear before the committee to discuss the Office of the Parliamentary Budget Officer's report on the research and comparative analysis on the Estimates of the Department of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs and the Department of Indigenous Services, and that the meeting be televised.
It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the committee undertake a study to examine the existing funding and governance structure of the education system starting with early learning through kindergarten to grade 12 and post-secondary for Canada’s Indigenous people and provide recommendations to improve graduation rates and successful outcomes for students and on how to close the post-secondary education (PSE) attainment gap; that the committee hear from stakeholders and subject matter experts from all regions of Canada regarding the existing funding and governance structure, and provide recommendations; that the Minister of Crown–Indigenous Relations and Minister for Indigenous Services be invited to provide relevant information from their departments and answer related questions from members; that the committee report its findings to the House; and that pursuant to Standing Order 109, the committee request that the government table a comprehensive response to the report.

It was agreed, — That the committee examine its future studies in the following order: the study of the Office of the Auditor General's report on the emergency management in First Nations communities which will include two additional meetings, the study on the Indigenous Languages Act, the study of the education system for Indigenous people, the study on the restitution of land, and the study of the Office of the Parliamentary Budget Officer’s report on the Department of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs and the Department of Indigenous Services from May 2022.
