Pursuant to Standing Order 106(2) and the order adopted by the House of Commons on Thursday, June 22, 2022, the clerk of the committee presided over the election of a chair.

Lori Idlout moved, — That Jenica Atwin be elected Chair of the committee.

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to on the following recorded division:

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Monday, November 21, 2022, the committee resumed its study on improving graduation rates and successful outcomes for Indigenous students.

It was agreed, — That the Parliamentary Budget Officer, the Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations and the Minister of Indigenous Services be invited to appear before the committee on Monday, April 24, 2023, and on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.

It was agreed, — That the witnesses that were invited to appear to the cancelled meeting of Monday, March 20, 2023, be invited to appear on Monday, April 17, 2023.

Margaret Moss and Thomas Szierzycki made statements and answered questions.

At 5:48 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:51 p.m., the sitting resumed.
