Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, the committee resumed its study of effects of American and European seafood import policies on the fishing industry in Canada.

The committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

At 11:28 a.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 11:31 a.m., the meeting resumed.

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Selected United States and European Union Trade-Related Measures: Some Impacts on Canada’s Fishing Sector".

It was agreed, — That the Chair, clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

It was agreed, — That dissenting or supplementary opinions be in Calibri 12-point font, left aligned, single-spaced, and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the clerk of the committee, not later than Monday, November 25, 2024.

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, the committee resumed its study of Canadian businesses in supply chains and global markets.

The committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

At 12:06 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 12:10 p.m., the meeting resumed.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $18,500, for the study of recent developments concerning the Canada–United States softwood lumber trade dispute, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the committee invite the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and the Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development to appear separately before the committee for one hour each, before December 18, 2024, to discuss their plans for Canada – US trade.

At 12:40 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
