Pursuant to Standing Order 106(2), the clerk of the committee presided over the election of a vice-chair.

On motion of Heath MacDonald, it was agreed, — That Dan Albas be elected First Vice-Chair of the committee.

Invocation of the Emergencies Act and Related Measures

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Thursday, February 17, 2022, the committee resumed its study of the Invocation of the Emergencies Act and related measures.

Angelina Mason made a statement and, with Darren Hannah, answered questions.

At 3:54 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:01 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Michel Arcand made a statement and, with Denis Beaudoin, answered questions.

At 5:33 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
