Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, the committee resumed its study of children's health.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 12:24 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:28 p.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $1,500, for the study of Bill C-31, An Act respecting cost of living relief measures related to dental care and rental housing, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $2,025, for the study of Bill C-224, An Act to establish a national framework for the prevention and treatment of cancers linked to firefighting, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $1,525, for the study of over-the-counter paediatric medication, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That the proposed budget in the amount of $750, for the study the Supplementary Estimates (B), 2022-23, be adopted.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Orders 108(2), 81(4) and 81(7), the committee invite the Minister of Health to appear for one hour, and the Minister of Mental Health and Addictions and Associate Minister of Health to appear for one hour regarding the Supplementary Estimates (C), 2022-23, the Main Estimates 2023-24, and the departmental plans 2023-24 for the Department of Health, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the Public Health Agency of Canada; that the meeting take place on Thursday, March 23, 2023; and that the witnesses be requested to appear in person, if at all possible.

At 1:05 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
