Pursuant to Standing Order 106(2), the clerk of the committee presided over the election of a vice-chair.

On motion of Chris Bittle, it was agreed, — That Jean-Denis Garon be elected Second Vice-Chair of the committee.

The committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to committee business.

It was agreed, — That the proposed supplementary budget in the amount of $6,000, for the study of Bill C-27, be adopted.

Pursuant to the order of reference of Monday, April 24, 2023, the committee resumed consideration of Bill C-27, An Act to enact the Consumer Privacy Protection Act, the Personal Information and Data Protection Tribunal Act and the Artificial Intelligence and Data Act and to make consequential and related amendments to other Acts.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

At 6:40 p.m., by unanimous consent, Brian Masse took the Chair as Acting Chair.

At 7:00 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 7:06 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, the committee resumed its study on the recent investigation and reports on Sustainable Development Technology Canada.
