Sébastien Lemire gave notice of the following motion:
That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee undertake a study on The Space Industry; examine strategic, political and economic opportunities related to the development of this industry; examine different legislative approaches around the world, and leadership initiatives put forward by foreign powers; examine impacts on cross-cutting issues such as security and sovereignty; examine the support and development of this industry; as well as the relevance of establishing a space policy; and that the testimony and documents gathered by the Committee during the 43rd Parliament on the study be considered by the Committee during the current session and that it report its findings and recommendations to the House.
At 1:02 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
