Pursuant to the order of reference of Wednesday, May 29, 2024, the committee resumed consideration of Bill C-368, An Act to amend the Food and Drugs Act (natural health products).

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.

Motion

Yasir Naqvi moved, — That, upon the tabling of the Supplementary Estimates (B) for the fiscal year 2024-25, the committee invite the Minister of Health and the Minister of Mental Health and Addictions to testify on the Supplementary Estimates (B) at the first meeting following the adoption of this motion.

Debate arose thereon.

Amendment

Sonia Sidhu moved, — That the motion be amended by adding after the words “of this motion” the following: “And that the Committee invite witnesses, including but not limited to, Kids Help Phone, Brain Canada Foundation and U15 Canada, to testify on the Supplementary Estimates (B) by no later than the end of the current supply period.”.

Debate arose thereon.
