Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the committee on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, the committee resumed its study of the protection of freedom of expression.

Kristopher David Wells and Jacques Marcoux made statements and answered questions.

At 5:20 p.m., the meeting was suspended.

At 5:22 p.m., the meeting resumed.

Questioning of the witnesses resumed.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of the protection of freedom of expression, the deadline for the submission of written drafting instructions to the analysts for the draft report be no later than Friday, December 13, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. (EST) .

At 5:44 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
